How to Upload to an Album

At any time you can click the upload link, just under the Media Centre tab, and below the Wal*Mart logo to begin transferring photos to store in your online albums.

You have three options for uploading your photos.

If you do not have Java installed on your computer, then you will be able to choose the ActiveX Uploader or the Basic Uploader.

Easy Uploader

1. Before starting the Easy Uploader, please click the checkbox to place a checkmark beside the Wal*Mart Online PhotoCentre Terms and Conditions.

2. To begin, select an album from the drop down menu on the uploader page. If you are viewing the "My Media Centre" page, then click on the image of the album into which you would like to upload photos. Next, click the "Get Photos" button or drag and drop your images from the location where they are stored on your computer. If you are using the drag and drop capability of our uploader window, then once you have dropped all of the images you'd like to upload onto the uploader window, simply click the "Upload" button to proceed and continue at Step 4.

3. If you clicked the "Get Photos" button, then the uploader will appear on your screen in a new window. Click the image you would like to select to place a checkmark in the box beneath it, or click directly on the checkbox itself. If you change your mind about an image, then you can click the image or click the checkbox to remove the checkmark. If your image is in another folder, then use the sidebar menu, the drop down file menu, or the "up arrow" button located beside the drop down menu to navigate to its location. You can move between folders and the uploader will retain your selections from each folder you visit. To select all the images in a folder, click "select all." Click the "Upload" button when you are ready to proceed.

Note: the Easy Uploader offers a fast and slow speed for your upload. The fast speed will transfer your images up to 5X faster by compressing them prior to uploading them. We recommend this option for images 8 X 10 or smaller. Choose the slow speed for large gifts or for posters. The integrity of your images will be retained after uploading.

4. Your images will appear on the Easy Upload window and the status of each image's upload will be shown as a blue status bar underneath the individual image. The status for your total upload will be shown as a blue bar at the bottom of the Easy Upload window.

Note: if you have not already done so, you will be prompted to agree to the Wal*Mart Online PhotoCentre Terms and Conditions. Please click the checkbox and then click the "Upload" button to proceed.

5. Once your upload completes, you will be directed to the "My Media Centre" page. Your photos will be stored in the album you selected. If you would like to upload more images, please click the "Add More Photos" button and refer to Step 2.

6. Your pictures are now stored in the album you selected. You may choose to share this album by following the steps under the Sharing Albums heading in our help content.
